The National Greek Theatre L.A. Poster
The National returns to Los Angeles for 2019, and we wanted to followup our last L.A. freeway-centric poster for them with a more scenic part of Southern California. We decided to take on an aerial view of the beach including a lifeguard observing a stingray out in the water. This poster design originally included a shark in the ray’s place, but days before the concert, Matt Berninger was stung by a stingray while surfing, so we updated the art to reflect the true to life experience of the band.
The National Greek Theatre poster is an 18” x 24” five color screen print on 100lb Cougar Natural cover stock with a limited artist edition of 100 prints. Check out our original concept sketch and closeup photos of the prints below, along with a video documenting our design process. The National Greek Theatre L.A. will be available in the DKNG store on Tuesday, September 3, 2019.
